Batman – Toy Biz (1989–1990)

Toy Biz launched its Batman action figure range in 1989 to coincide with Tim Burton’s blockbuster film starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson. The Batman movie assortment formed the debut wave of Toy Biz’s wider DC Comics Super Heroes line and featured figures styled to match the film’s distinctive black-and-gold visual identity. Toy Biz held the DC licence only briefly before Kenner regained it for subsequent Batman ranges.
