Mites – Tonka (1976–1978)

Tonka introduced Mites in 1976 as an ultra-compact range of miniature vehicles positioned below the company’s better-known Tiny Tonka line. Measuring just under four inches in length, the early models were manufactured in Japan and combined pressed-steel cabs with plastic components, giving collectors a miniature version of Tonka’s familiar construction and utility vehicles.
