The Lord of the Rings Gollum – Knickerbocker (1979)

Knickerbocker released its The Lord of the Rings action figure range in 1979, based on Ralph Bakshi’s 1978 animated adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy epic. Produced under licence from Tolkien Enterprises, the short-lived range consisted of only six character figures and two mounts, making it one of the earliest dedicated Lord of the Rings action figure collections.
