Home Computer – Sinclair (1978–1990)
Sinclair’s home-computing era began in 1978 with the MK14, released by Science of Cambridge, before the company moved into fully assembled microcomputers with the ZX80 in 1980 and ZX81 in 1981. These low-cost machines helped make home computing accessible to a much wider audience in Britain, establishing Sinclair as one of the most important names in the early personal-computer market.
