World’s Greatest Super Heroes – Mego (1972–1982)

Mego launched World’s Greatest Super Heroes in 1972, creating one of the most influential superhero action figure ranges ever produced. The original assortment used Mego’s 8-inch articulated body format with removable cloth costumes and included Superman, Batman, Robin, and Aquaman. Early test figures were sold through E.J. Korvette stores before the range expanded nationally.
